Just as good as when I read the actual books when I was a kid。 I think some of the quotes were changed or it could be I just remembered them different。 It’s been a while since I read them。 I do have a hard time believing the ages of the characters though。 It bugs me the older I get, but if these guys really are 16years old how can Cornelia go around acting like she knows anything about love? She comes across as so desperate and spoiled。 I know she lost the guy she had a thing for but she can’t always put the blame on Will for every little struggle the group goes through! Sometimes their conversations get really suggestive too。 Maybe it’s just that I’m reading too much into their comments, but Irma has a bad habit of saying things that sound more adult than their ages suggest。 I always LOVED the artwork and the gear icon novel version allows me to compare what I envisioned in my head to what other people saw。 Though this also takes away from the flow a little。 There are times where the pacing jumps from one situation to another in the panels。 。。。more

I think the first arc was a little rushed with Prince Phobos and everyone became super close friends so quickly (which isnt realistic in most cases) so it was nice to take a whole volume to explore how close they actually are without having some “big bad” to fight to unify them as friends。 I also love Cornelia experiencing some mental health issues and seeing her friends rally a little for her while also feeling a little rattled by feeling uncertain of the strength of their friendship。 I love Co I think the first arc was a little rushed with Prince Phobos and everyone became super close friends so quickly (which isnt realistic in most cases) so it was nice to take a whole volume to explore how close they actually are without having some “big bad” to fight to unify them as friends。 I also love Cornelia experiencing some mental health issues and seeing her friends rally a little for her while also feeling a little rattled by feeling uncertain of the strength of their friendship。 I love Cornelia and Caleb so obviously I loved the ending and I cant wait to see more of them in the future and I think the big bad for the next arc was set up really nicely。 Overall, I enjoyed this again even as an adult and I can enjoy the childlike nostalgia I’m feeling while connecting with some of the material even though I’m much older now than I was when I first started this series。 。。。more

This was a really great start to Part 2! It even explained one of the issues I had with the previous Part。 It appeared that Will was necessary for transformations, but then sometimes the other guardians would transform without her which made no sense。 They explained in this issue that they could transform without her but needed her to increase her power。 I mean maybe it was stated in the earlier volumes and I had just missed it, but I appreciated it being put in! Again it was a real nostalgia fix which I completely loved and cannot wait to read Part 2 Vols 2 and 3!Not getting 5/5 because of two main reasons:1) CorneliaxCaleb - I really loved them in the TV series, but I didn't connect with them at all in the graphic novel。 So when Cornelia spends the majority of this part moping or being ragey because he's a flower I really didn't care that much。 I think if I they had developed the relationship between (as they did in the TV Series) I would have cared and it wouldn't have been so irritating。 2) The Pace - Because its the first vol of the new part there was a lot of clean up from P1。 It slowed down the pace and left a lot of fluff。 I mean I love fluff as much as the next but at the end of the day its not really advancing the story all that much which is what I'm really after。 Mostly just fixing issues they could have done reasonably quickly either at the end of P1 or start of P2。On the whole though, P2 Vol 1 was a really great start, brought me all the nostalgia (WillxMatt!), and I'm looking forward to the rest of the part!Rating: 4/5 or 8/10Reviews:W。I。T。C。H。, Part I。 The Twelve Portals: Vol。 1 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vol。 2 ⭐⭐⭐。5 Vol。 3 ⭐⭐⭐⭐。5 W。I。T。C。H。, Part 2。 Nerissa's Revenge: Vol。 2 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vol。 3 ⭐⭐⭐W。I。T。C。H。, Part 3。 A Crisis on Both Worlds:Vol。 1 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vol。 2 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vol。 3 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 。。。more

As much as I love this series, there are quite a few things that annoy me。 This volume in particular spent too much time on a completely unbelievable romance plot。 It got much better towards the end when the Summer holidays start。 It was nice to have a few moments of fun

This review will be for the entire arc (volumes 4-6)。 This arc definitely has its ups and downs。 I think its main problem is that Nerissa just doesn't seem like formidable villain。 Her backstory is great, along with her minions and her ability to affect the guardians in their dreams, but that's pretty much it。 She hardly ever gets "hands on" with her evil-doing and she comes across as very cartoony sometimes, particularly her dialogue。 Maybe if they had had more time to build her up but the bala This review will be for the entire arc (volumes 4-6)。 This arc definitely has its ups and downs。 I think its main problem is that Nerissa just doesn't seem like formidable villain。 Her backstory is great, along with her minions and her ability to affect the guardians in their dreams, but that's pretty much it。 She hardly ever gets "hands on" with her evil-doing and she comes across as very cartoony sometimes, particularly her dialogue。 Maybe if they had had more time to build her up but the balance of this arc was odd, too。 The majority of vol。 4 is just the events that lead up to Nerissa's jailbreak (which is annoying to read because it's just the girls getting mad with each other over nothing), vol。 5 is all Nerissa stuff, and only half of vol。 6 is them defeating her。 I did like the last chapter of vol。 6 a lot, but Nerissa should have have more screen time, so to speak。 Something else that was frustrating for me is the way this series seems to forget the age of its characters, especially when it comes to the girls' romantic relationships。 They're only 11-12。 。。。more

Uh, interesting。 So the first arc ended with book three, and this is the start of a new arc。 I distinctly remember chapter 1 + 2 of this volume, but chapter 3 was new for me! I’m not sure how much I read of this as a pre-teen, so I’m really excited for the upcoming story lines。 Once again, this series is actually really really good and I do enjoy it a lot。

3。5/ 5 starsI have been reading (trying to) the W。I。T。C。H series for over 15 years, this is the first time I made it to part 2 and I am enjoying the plot line。 That being said the actually stories themselves feel so different form part one。 The first two chapters while tying up lose ends dragged on。 If you can I really would suggest skimming them and skipping right into the third chapter。

This was a pretty good installment in the series! I disliked that it had so much of the girls fighting, but it did a good job showing that the events of the first arc affected them (especially Cornelia) and kind of wrapped up some loose ends。 I'm very interested to see where this new arc with Nerissa is going to go! This was something new for me。 I didn’t remember her brining Caleb back。 I was happy to see that。 Yes, even I can be touched by a love story gone right (just not often)。 But I do kind of feel bad that these girls can’t even get a little space。 It wasn’t that long they defeated Phoebus, now Luba, and here comes another one。 I know they’re Guardians (I know I know) but they’re also pre-teens。 Give them a little bit of a life apart from there WITCH duties。 。。。more

Ok, let's start with Part II。 I liked the bridge between Part I and the rising of Nerissa, the one with the changeling and Caleb。 It was one of my favorite scenes of the story。 I loved Cordelia in this chapters。And then。。。 Nerissa。 If I remember correctly, I didn't like her at all。 As far as villains is concerned, she was extremely unnice。Well, the sooner I finished these part, the sooner I can get my hands on Part III。 Ok, let's start with Part II。 I liked the bridge between Part I and the rising of Nerissa, the one with the changeling and Caleb。 It was one of my favorite scenes of the story。 I loved Cordelia in this chapters。And then。。。 Nerissa。 If I remember correctly, I didn't like her at all。 As far as villains is concerned, she was extremely unnice。Well, the sooner I finished these part, the sooner I can get my hands on Part III。 。。。more

4。25 Stars。Ok。 Maybe I never realized it in the cartoon, but these girls mature physically when they change into their magical selves。 So like, how do we account for the difference in ages between them and their love interests?I have questions。 I think they're intended to be like middle-school kids and that's now working for me but, I'll suspend my belief on these。I just enjoy them, ok。 4。25 Stars。Ok。 Maybe I never realized it in the cartoon, but these girls mature physically when they change into their magical selves。 So like, how do we account for the difference in ages between them and their love interests?I have questions。 I think they're intended to be like middle-school kids and that's now working for me but, I'll suspend my belief on these。I just enjoy them, ok。 。。。more

Loved this, the only storyline I still can't quite buy into is Caleb/Cornelia as their interactions consist of very few words, which doesn't make the relationship very credible。 Otherwise very entertaining and the art style is brilliant。 Loved this, the only storyline I still can't quite buy into is Caleb/Cornelia as their interactions consist of very few words, which doesn't make the relationship very credible。 Otherwise very entertaining and the art style is brilliant。 。。。more

I absolutely love diving back into this story。 Sadly this volume didn't grab me as much as the past ones。 The reason for that might be that it mainly just set the stafe to start the new arc。 The stories weren't bad but because the villains were all different and had no common purpose it felt more like multiple different stories that are only slightly connected。 I'm glad the new arc is now here and that we have a propper voIllain for the next volume。 Can't wait to contine。My rating for this volum I absolutely love diving back into this story。 Sadly this volume didn't grab me as much as the past ones。 The reason for that might be that it mainly just set the stafe to start the new arc。 The stories weren't bad but because the villains were all different and had no common purpose it felt more like multiple different stories that are only slightly connected。 I'm glad the new arc is now here and that we have a propper voIllain for the next volume。 Can't wait to contine。My rating for this volume is 4 stars。 。。。more

It was great to pick up this album, and I'm so looking forward to reading this arc。 I think the Nerissa—arc us my favorite。 I love the dreamy darkness of it, and that we get some more character growth。This book here is just the first album in the Nerissa story, all the way at the end。 But that's OK, 'cause they combined the "epilogue" chapters of the last arc with this one, ad they clearly build up to the Nerissa—arc。 A lot of fun, and I'm feeling that the script is a bit better as well。 Not as It was great to pick up this album, and I'm so looking forward to reading this arc。 I think the Nerissa—arc us my favorite。 I love the dreamy darkness of it, and that we get some more character growth。This book here is just the first album in the Nerissa story, all the way at the end。 But that's OK, 'cause they combined the "epilogue" chapters of the last arc with this one, ad they clearly build up to the Nerissa—arc。 A lot of fun, and I'm feeling that the script is a bit better as well。 Not as many stupid comments as in the other books。 Strongly sniffing on a 5/5 here 。。。more
